About me

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker and dually designated as Asian Pacific Islander Ethnic Minority Mental Health Specialist and Geriatric Mental Health Specialist in the state of Washington.  I was professionally trained in Japan and in the US and have clinical experiences in both countries.  In the last 21 years, I have practiced in the Seattle area.

I have a Master of Social Welfare degree from University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology from International Christian University in Tokyo.

I have extensive experience working with Asian Americans, refugees, and immigrants.  I understand how immigrant, refugee, or minority experiences can impact one’s personal, work, and family life.  Previously, I have worked in community mental health, hospitals, and a school.  I enjoy promoting wellness and helping people make the changes they desire in their lives.
