Approach

I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive therapy, and systems theory.  I use an eclectic approach to meet the unique needs of each person.  My objective is to provide a compassionate, caring, and respectful relationship in which you will feel safe to explore yourself.

At the beginning of our work, we will identify your current difficulties and clarify the goals you would like to achieve.  Together, we will explore the ways you managed the difficulties in the past and are managing currently.  Using your unique strengths and existing knowledge and wisdom, we will then develop new ways for you to handle the challenges. 

The therapy can be short-term, focusing on solving your current problems.  Or it can be long-term, with an emphasis on creating a shift in your personal or familial patterns.
